Snow and freezing rain from the Arctic hit Britain overnight. But not in Coventry :-(. Even the bad weather don't want to be send to Coventry. I was hoping to wake up to a winter wonderland.
Meanwhile, spent the evening reading, doing the Sudoku and when I turned the tv on, the above video/song was playing. Imagine that it was already 16 years old. A true classic from the days when hair was big and rock ballads were bigger and dramatic.
Babe had one of his bad days and spent Saturday in bed. Get well soon, darling. Kept him replenished with hot water bottles and hot drinks. I spent the morning clearing the garden, bringing the potted plants closer to the casa, cleaning the pots and finished planting the bulbs. Hopefully, the plants will survive the frosts.
I'd my annual flu jab done on Tuesday. At work, my colleagues took the mickey cos I suddenly started sneezing continuously and lost my voice. I guess the vaccine is working ASAP.
St Mary’s Guildhall will host the Coventry's first ever paranormal investigation when a brave bunch of ghost hunters take over the medieval building for a night. It is one of the finest medieval guildhalls in the country, having stood in the city centre for more than 650 years.
Many events of both national and local importance have been witnessed there. The most significant being the centre for King Henry VI’s court during the War of the Roses, Shakespeare was thought to have performed here and as a temporary prison to Mary, Queen of Scots.
I have visited and photographed this beautiful building several times. Just imagine what ghosts from the building’s rich historical past will be unveiled.
England beat Germany 2-1 in a much-awaiting friendly played on Wednesday night at the Olympic Stadium, Berlin. It was a perfect end to England's 2008 under Fabio Capello and we can look forward to 2009 with considerable optimism.
And check out this beautiful swanlings (I know they are cygnets). They came over when they saw me coming. But when they found out that I was empty-handed, they turned their backs. Cheeky...
Wishing many happy returns to GLW and Jax. Congratulations to my nephew, Eriq for getting a 2nd chance at Uni. Don't messed it again.
Prayers for D's MIL who's still in a coma.
