Run

That song sung by Leona Lewis has been playing in my head all week. The British 2006 X-factor winner did a fantastic rendition of Snow Patrol's radio-rock anthem "Run" . It will be release as a single in her bid to grab the coveted Christmas No.1 spot in the British Singles Chart. I'm not a fan of Leona and other reality programs, but good luck to her.

Also where can you run from terrorists attacks? Last Wednesday, the Indian city of Mumbai was the latest to come under attack. A series of deadly attacks were carried on 2 hotels, a railway station, a Jewish centre and other sites that left at least 195 people dead. My heart and prayers go out to the victims and their families.

After the above harrowing news, the Free hugs campaign had run amok in the university. I was going about my usual walk during lunch when a student wearing a Free hug jumper came up and asked me for a hug. I asked her why cos it took me by surprise. She said cos it's free. Ookay...as long as she doesn't have a cold. :-).

I was hugged three times. At the Piazza, outside the bookshop and by the Chaplaincy. I'd to say no to a guy though...Babe said that perhaps they think I need a hug. Not because I'm approachable :-).

The Sky Blues met the Swansea boyos for the first time in the Championship league after the Welsh team were promoted last year. The 7th ranked team were only able to draw 1:1 with the 18th ranked Coventry.

Yesterday morning I checked out the latest perfumes on sale at Boots. That section smelt like a whore house cos there were lots of people spraying themselves silly. And in the end, your sense of smells gets numbed.

I selected 3 perfumes that I'm keen on : Stella, Kenzo Armour and Hugo Boss Deep Red. Sprayed them on the tester slips, wrote the name and price down. A few ladies who were observing me commented that it was a good idea and follow suit. I did a bit of shopping in Tesco and from time to time take a deep sniff of the slips.

I asked Babe's opinion and he picked Hugo Boss Deep Red. An excellent choice cos that's the one I like too. And by the way, he's paying for it too, as a Xmas pressie from him. :-)Coventry 29-11-2008 10-40-34

Outside Tesco, I put some coins in a charity  box and listened to the Salvation Army belting out some Xmas noise. They kept the shoppers entertained in a cold, foggy morning.

Today, we decided to get some fresh air and drove to our favourite playground. Oops, bad idea. There were cars parked outside entrance. A Xmas fair is on.

we went in and checked out the fair. Usual stuff. We continued on and walked through the forest. Brandon Marsh Coventry 30-11-2008 14-11-33The white or paper birch trees looks very wintery.   Babe wanted to check out the Steely Hide at the furthest end of the reserve. Nobody's home.

From here, we decided to wade through very muddy footpaths. We must be crazy but it was fun. Babe nearly lost his boots when he got stuck. Brandon Marsh Coventry 30-11-2008 15-00-08 We checked out the Baldwin Hide and the natives were already winding down for the night.

Another retirement do for Roy. And he saying hola to Spain when he puts his feet up. Lucky man to be retiring in all that glorious sunshine.
