Butterfly Dance

I was always a lover of soft-winged things.~Victor Hughes

The reserve was literally covered with scraps of coloured papers blown by the wind. There were Brandon Marsh Coventry 02-08-2009 10-15-23hundreds of them everywhere. It looked like they were dancing in the sunlight and accompanying breeze. Flitting about and getting high on nectar. Along the path  Painted Ladies ushered us into into the reserve

We stood quietly among the bushes. Large and small whites knew we will never harm them and they continued to amble from flower to flower.

Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you sit down quietly, may alight upon you.~ Nathaniel Hawthorne.

We only stopped at Steetly Hide to see what the natives are up to. Brandon Marsh Coventry 02-08-2009 10-43-46Nothing much. A family of swans and 4 fluffy cygnets were floating in the lake, 2 coots chasing each other and ducks still asleep. We continued our fascination with the scraps of floating coloured papers. :-)

Commas and Speckled Wood dotted the path as we made our way Brandon Marsh Coventry 02-08-2009 11-54-43through the forest. We have to watch our step cos they were also sunbathing on the ground.

Near the car park we came across a white Buddleia covered with Painted Ladies and Peacocks. I have a purple Buddleia in the garden and I’m thinking of planting a white one to attract more into the garden.

We reached home before the football fans left Brandon Marsh Coventry 02-08-2009 11-43-44the Ricoh. Today is Marcus Hall’s testimonial match against last season’s FA Cup finalist, Everton. A pity he was forced off injured early in the second half. The game was tied 2:2. I guess our life will be dictated by what’s happening around the stadium again…

I had my individual consultation regarding Brandon Marsh Coventry 02-08-2009 11-53-47my job with HR and LMG. They wanted to know if I’ve anything to say. Nope… All I want is my job back and I’m doing my hardest to get it back, fingers and toes double-crossed. I was told off for not putting my names down for the other posts in the list.

Now, why would I want to do that? There are more suitable people for those posts and I don’t want to be greedy. I was told not to be NICE. Huh!!! Since when did being nice became undesirable? I’m not going to fall for their tricks and be bitchy. Sorry, not me…

Wish me luck!!!
