50 years ago today I was born. Did I just type in 50??? I can't believe I said that out loud. Half a Century...oh my goodness, it just doesn't seem possible. I came into this world screaming and kicking and haven't stopped since...:-):-):-)
I'd a lovely time. Cards, gifts, e-mails and texts have been arriving a few days back. May Allah bless all of you. Thank you very, very, very much. And to my darling hubby, lover, best friend, companion and personal Santa, thanks a million for showering me with wonderful presents.
He made me hunt for it. Darling, Easter's not here yet. They were scattered all over the casa. My dream black leather Credi bag hanging in the bathroom (of all places). A red-strap DKNY watch was in the linen basket and the Benetton Hot casually beside the laptop. And beautiful pieces of jewellery. Also posh soaps, red roses and a singing card 'Rings of Fire' by Johnny Cash. That made me smile. Could I have a repeat next year please...
We made a few plans but decided to go somewhere closer, to Coombe Abbey. We weren't alone. Half of Coventry had the same idea. Don't blame them. The sun was out and it was a lovely day for a walk. We went straight to the hide and our feathered friends all came by to wish me a happy birthday and have a party at the bird table.
We'd a lovely time and enjoyed each other's company very much.
Yesterday we checked out Solihull. It was busy and buzzing as usual. Credit crunch...what credit crunch!!! There were a few empty shops on the High Street but not in Torchwood. I bought a henna block from Lush, telephone charms for the kids, bits and bops in Lakeland and a nautical cardigan from Wallis. I love cardigans. They are my office uniform and can be paired with anything.
We wanted to have lunch but everywhere there were queues. Babe promised me a birthday lunch/dinner and I will collect the rain cheque later.
It has been a wonderful time of celebration for me. I really am blessed and loved. Thank you.
